Looking Beyond the Artswish White Writing Desk Storage? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How the alternatives compare

ODCVKRT 39 inch Solid Wood Desk

The ODCVKRT desk uses solid wood rather than the engineered wood found in the Artswish model. This material choice offers greater durability and a natural aesthetic, appealing to users who prioritize long-term stability over a painted finish. It features drawers for storage, similar to the Artswish concealed drawer, but lacks the open cubby. The desktop is slightly narrower at 39.4 inches, which may limit wide monitor setups. Its weight is significantly lower at 7 pounds, suggesting a lighter frame construction. You should consider this option if you prefer the look and feel of real wood and need a sturdy, fixed-height workspace for gaming or small office tasks.

SanaForm Solid Wood Desk, 39.4 inch

The SanaForm desk also utilizes solid wood, offering a cherry color finish that differs from the Artswish white and oak combination. It provides a wider desktop surface at 31 inches compared to the Artswish width, though the length is similar. Like the ODCVKRT, it includes drawers for storage, replacing the open cubby design of the Artswish. The SanaForm is heavier at 30 pounds, indicating a more robust build than the lighter ODCVKRT. It stands at 30 inches high, which is slightly taller than the Artswish at 29.5 inches. This model suits buyers who want a dedicated, permanent workspace with solid wood construction and drawer storage in a small room.

IAE White Wall-Mounted Folding Desk

The IAE desk is a wall-mounted folding unit, which fundamentally changes how you use the space. It offers a much wider desktop at 55 inches, providing ample room for multiple monitors or large projects, unlike the compact 42.5-inch surface of the Artswish. It has no built-in storage, so you must rely on external solutions. The folded height is only 9.4 inches, making it nearly invisible when not in use. Weighing 19.5 pounds, it is lighter than the Artswish but requires secure wall mounting. This option is ideal for renters or those with very limited floor space who need a high-capacity workspace that can be tucked away completely.

Dezyfurni Folding Bamboo Desk with Bookshelf

The Dezyfurni desk combines a folding surface with an integrated bookshelf, offering vertical storage that the Artswish lacks. The Artswish uses horizontal drawer and cubby space, while this bamboo model stores books and items above the desk surface. The desktop width is 39.4 inches, slightly narrower than the Artswish. The total height reaches 47.2 inches, making it a tall, floor-standing unit when folded, unlike the low-profile Artswish. It is made of bamboo, providing a different material texture and durability profile. This desk is best for users who need both a foldable workspace and dedicated vertical storage in a compact home office, prioritizing organization over a flat, minimalist aesthetic.

NYLSOFAX Bamboo Folding Desk with Storage

The NYLSOFAX desk features a narrow desktop width of 23.6 inches, which is significantly thinner than the 42.5-inch Artswish surface. This design prioritizes vertical storage, including hidden compartments, over expansive typing area. The desk stands 63 inches tall, making it a substantial vertical unit compared to the Artswish's 29.5-inch height. It weighs 50.4 pounds, indicating a heavy, stable construction. The bamboo material offers durability similar to other solid wood options. This model is suitable for buyers who need hidden storage and a foldable design but can tolerate a narrow surface. It is a space-efficient solution for small rooms where floor space is at a premium.

Bamboo Folding Desk with Storage

The Bamboo Folding Desk with Storage mirrors the NYLSOFAX in dimensions and weight, offering a 23.6-inch width and 63-inch height. It provides a sturdy, storage-rich option for tight spaces, similar to the NYLSOFAX. The design prioritizes foldability and organization over the expansive surface area of the Artswish. With 50.4 pounds in weight, it ensures stability despite its narrow footprint. The bamboo material offers a natural finish. This desk is ideal for buyers who need a compact, foldable solution with hidden storage. It differs from the Artswish by sacrificing desktop width for vertical utility, making it a practical choice for small rooms where every inch of floor space matters.
