What stands out
- 96.5-inch width accommodates two complete computer setups

Who it fits
Good fit for
This desk suits couples, roommates, or siblings who need a shared home office or gaming space. The 96.5-inch width allows two people to work side by side without crowding. If you need integrated power solutions, the four AC outlets and USB ports reduce cable clutter. The three drawers and eight shelves help keep shared essentials organized. It is ideal for those who want a modern, fluted design that fits bedrooms or study rooms.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you require an adjustable height mechanism. This model has a fixed height of 47 inches, which may not suit users who need to switch between sitting and standing positions. It also lacks a built-in keyboard tray. If you prefer a minimalist aesthetic without visible storage units, the eight open shelves and three drawers might feel too bulky. Additionally, the 94-pound weight makes it difficult to move frequently.
Verdict: The NORTHSKY M2-9032 is a solid choice for two people who need a large, fixed-height shared desk with ample storage and power options. It prioritizes organization and stability over adjustability.
NORTHSKY 96.5 Desk Key Specs
Width: 96.5 inches
This width provides a substantial surface area for two users. You get enough room for two monitors, keyboards, and other peripherals without crowding. This layout suits couples, roommates, or siblings sharing a home office. When comparing standing desks, note that this is a fixed-width shared unit, not a single-user desk. It allows for side-by-side work rather than a split setup.
Height: 47 inches
This height indicates a standard fixed desk configuration. It is not an adjustable standing desk, so you cannot change the elevation to switch between sitting and standing. This spec suits users who prefer a traditional seated workstation. When shopping for standing desks, compare this to models with electric or manual lift mechanisms. The 47-inch height is typical for standard home office desks.
Weight: 94 pounds
This weight reflects the mass of the entire unit, including the engineered wood frame and storage components. A heavier desk generally offers more stability and reduces wobble when typing or using a mouse. This mass helps keep the desk stationary during daily use. When comparing products, consider this weight as an indicator of structural sturdiness rather than portability. It requires two people to move.
Color: Natural Oak
This finish provides a warm, wood-like appearance that blends with various interior styles. The natural oak tone complements modern, rustic, or minimalist home office decor. It offers a neutral backdrop for your equipment. When comparing colors, consider how this finish matches your existing furniture. The visual appeal is a key factor for shared workspaces that are visible in living areas or bedrooms.
Design and build details
The listing specifies that the desk is constructed from durable engineered wood. This material choice supports the unit’s 94-pound weight, providing a stable base for daily use. The wide desktop spans 96.5 inches in width and 18 inches in depth. This layout allows two users to work side by side without crowding. The height is listed at 47 inches, which is a standard seated desk height. You will need to adjust your chair and monitor position accordingly for proper ergonomics.
Aesthetically, the unit features a natural oak finish. The drawer fronts include a fluted design with gold-tone handles, creating a modern look. This style complements home offices or study rooms. The listing notes that the design is versatile enough for gaming spaces as well. You can choose from black, white, or natural oak options depending on your existing decor.
The build includes multiple storage sections for reliability. Three drawers and eight open shelves help organize shared essentials. The lower file drawer accommodates letter- and legal-size files. Cable management holes are included to route cords neatly. According to the listing, clearly labeled parts and tools are provided for assembly. This construction aims to keep the desktop organized and the workspace functional for two people.
Setup and everyday use details
The manufacturer includes clearly labeled parts, detailed instructions, and the necessary assembly tools to help you put this desk together. You should expect a straightforward process, though the 94-pound weight suggests the unit requires careful handling during the initial setup phase. The listing notes that you can contact customer support if any part arrives damaged or missing, which provides a safety net for the assembly stage.
Once assembled, the desk offers a 96.5-inch wide surface that comfortably accommodates two complete computer setups. You can place two monitors, keyboards, and mice side by side without crowding. The 18-inch depth provides sufficient space for equipment while keeping essentials within reach.
Power management is integrated directly into the unit. You have access to four AC outlets, one USB port, and one USB-C port. These connections allow you to power computers, monitors, and phones directly from the desk surface. Two cable management holes help route cords neatly, keeping the desktop organized and reducing visual clutter.
Storage is handled by three spacious drawers and eight open shelves. One lower drawer is sized for Letter- and Legal-size files, making it practical for document storage. The eight open shelves keep books, supplies, and computer equipment visible and accessible. This combination of closed and open storage helps you maintain an orderly workspace for two users, supporting daily work, study, or gaming routines without requiring additional furniture.
Before You Buy This Shared Desk
This NORTHSKY model measures 96.5 inches wide and 18 inches deep. You must verify that your room can accommodate this footprint alongside other furniture. The 47-inch height suits standard chairs, but check your monitor arms for compatibility with the desktop thickness. The included power hub has four AC outlets and two USB ports. Ensure your devices fit these standards. You may need additional cable sleeves if your cord count exceeds the two management holes. The engineered wood surface requires regular dusting to maintain the natural oak finish. Avoid abrasive cleaners. This desk serves as a shared workstation rather than a standing desk. If you need adjustable heights, look at the other 1 options on this page. This unit is best for fixed-height, side-by-side work. It fits well in home offices where space efficiency matters. You should plan your layout carefully before assembly begins.

- Measure your room to ensure the 96.5-inch width fits comfortably.
